Conference information
Cookies & external services
Your choices when using the conference website and its external services.
What this website uses
Our own website code does not set cookies or use browser storage. It contains no Google Analytics, advertising pixels or Wix tracking scripts. Navigation and speaker biographies work without cookies. Fonts and photographs are hosted with the site.
Cloudflare handles website delivery and security. Technical processing of a request does not necessarily involve a cookie. Necessary security cookies may be used if a Cloudflare security challenge is triggered; they are not used by us for advertising. Optional services are described below.
Embedded Google Map
The venue section includes a Google Map which loads automatically, without a separate map-enable button. The browser may defer loading it until you approach that section.
When the map loads, your browser connects to Google. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and map interactions, and may access or store cookies or similar information. Depending on your Google settings and the service, this can involve preferences, security, service measurement or advertising-related uses. Processing may take place outside the EEA. See our privacy notice and Google’s privacy policy.
You can manage or block third-party cookies through your browser settings and manage your Google account privacy choices. Blocking cookies may affect some map features. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent the initial Google connection or erase information already received.
Cookies and storage: provider information
The site’s own cookie and local-storage inventory is empty. Third-party cookies are conditional: their use varies with provider settings, your browser and whether you are signed in to Google. The following are relevant examples from the providers’ published documentation, not a claim that every listed cookie is installed on every visit.
| Provider / cookie | Purpose | Published duration / condition |
|---|---|---|
| Google: NID | Preferences; Google also describes advertising uses in some services. | 6 months from last use; may be relevant when the embedded map loads. |
| Google: SOCS | Records Google cookie choices. | 13 months; depends on Google’s consent interface. |
| Google: AEC | Detects spam, fraud and abuse. | 6 months; depends on the Google service. |
| Google: SID / HSID | Authentication and account security. | 2 years; may already exist if you are signed in to Google. |
| Cloudflare: cf_clearance | Records successful security-challenge verification. | Challenge Passage duration configured for the site; Cloudflare’s default is 30 minutes. Only relevant if a challenge is used. |
| Cloudflare: __cf_bm | Bot detection and service protection. | Expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity; only if the applicable bot protection is enabled. |
See Google’s cookie descriptions and Cloudflare’s cookie reference for their current purposes and lifetimes. Google may read cookies already set through other Google services; browser restrictions can prevent third-party cookies altogether.
External booking, payment and directions links
The booking form opens separately on Google Forms, and directions links open Google Maps. Those services are not loaded simply because you view this page. The provider’s privacy and cookie controls apply when you visit it. The conference privacy notice explains the organisers’ use of booking information.
Bank, Revolut and Stripe payment services, and Wix marketing emails, are separate from the conference webpage. Their service-specific notices and controls apply when you use them. No Wix cookie is installed by this website.
Changes and contact
If we introduce analytics, advertising or other optional technologies, we will update this notice and obtain the necessary consent before enabling them. Necessary storage used solely to deliver a requested service is treated separately from optional storage.
